Throwing Bullets Instead of Rice
Most people throw rice at weddings. It's an age long ritual, right?  I don't know its origin. I've heard that rice throwing at weddings originated in ancient times to guarantee happiness and fertility for the bride and groom. I'm not sure. But then again, I'm not a person that ever quite believed in rituals or superstition.  A week or so ago, the NYPD started a new ritual. They threw 50 bullets at a groom to be after his bachelor party.  Yes, what a way to guarantee infertility and unhappiness--Leaving a grieving wife to wonder what could have been. That's our NYPD. The New York Pigs Department. And Sean Bell was just the latest victim of the corruption, insensibility and murderous ways of New York's Finest. This is no doubt nationwide news today, but in a year it will be forgotten.

The Police Torture of Abner Louima
A month ago, millions of people were shocked to hear how police in Brooklyn beat and brutalized Abner Louima. After arresting Abner, the cops beat him on the trip to the 70th Precinct. At the precinct station, cops took him into a bathroom and Officer Justin Volpe stuck the handle of a plunger up Abner Louima's rectum, and then forced the same object in his mouth, breaking his teeth. Abner remains in the hospital suffering from a torn intestine, lacerated bladder and other serious injuries.

Brooklyn Cops Kill Timothy Stansbury
Racism and class exploitation have come together once again to rob another African American family of their beloved young son. A New York cop shot and killed Timothy Stansbury Jr., 19, early in the morning of Jan. 24 as he opened the door to the roof of his building in Brooklyn's Louis Armstrong housing project.

Alberta Sprull: Victim of NYPD Killer Elite
It was 6 a.m. A squad of a dozen heavily armed cops prepare to storm a building in the middle of Harlem. They’re supposedly looking for an arsenal of guns, stashes of drugs and vicious dogs. They get the word to go. Without warning. A battering ram breaks down the door of Apartment 6F at 310 W. 143rd Street. A deafening flash grenade is heaved into the apartment. What do they find? No guns, no drugs, no dogs, only a terrified Alberta Spruill, a 57-year-old city worker who was just about to leave for her job. She was coughing and screaming “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.”
